Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
This platform is operated by Focus15. We provide the 4W1N Business Planning Platform as a tool for founders to build their business plans — whether you're joining through a Focus15 workshop or signing up directly. Our website is located at 4win.co.uk. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at contact@focus15.co.uk.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following personal data when you register and use this platform:
- Your name and email address
- Your password (stored securely and encrypted — never readable by us)
- The business plan content you enter during workshops
- Your workshop progress and session activity
- If you purchase direct access, basic payment confirmation details (see Section 4a)
3. Why We Collect It
We collect this data solely to provide you with the 4W1N Business Planning Platform service. Specifically:
- To allow you to log in and access your business plan across sessions
- To save your workshop progress automatically
- To generate your final business plan document
- To allow your workshop facilitator to support your progress, where relevant
- To process your payment, if you purchase direct access
4. How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored securely on servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA). We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Your password is never stored in a readable format. We retain your data for as long as your account has active access, so you can always come back and continue where you left off. If your access lapses and you don't renew it, we keep your account and business plan for a further 2 years from the date access lapsed, in case you come back to it — after that, it's automatically and permanently deleted. You can also delete your account and its data yourself at any time from the My Account menu, without waiting for this period to pass.
4a. Payment Information
If you purchase access to the platform directly, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details ourselves. Financial transaction records are retained for 6 years in line with UK tax and accounting requirements, separately from your workshop content. Where a payment is refunded or disputed, we also keep a record of that event beyond account deletion, to prevent abuse of our refund process — this record is not linked back to a deleted account or any other personal information about you.
5. Who We Share It With
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be accessed by:
- Focus15 staff for the purpose of supporting your use of the platform
- Our trusted technology providers who help run this platform, including our payment processor (Stripe) for handling purchases, and Supabase for secure data storage — all under strict data processing agreements
- Anthropic, whose AI helps turn your answers into polished written content. Your answers are briefly processed for this purpose only, are never used to train Anthropic's models, and are automatically deleted from their systems within days
- Google, via Google Analytics — configured to collect only first-party statistics about how this site is used (e.g. which pages are visited), with Google Signals and all data-sharing settings switched off. It is never used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or profiling, and you can opt out at any time (see Section 8)
6. International Transfers
Some of the technology providers we use to run this platform are based outside the UK — for example Anthropic and Google (for Analytics), both based in the United States. Where this happens, it is done under those providers' standard data processing terms, which include internationally-recognised safeguards for transferring personal data outside the UK. We do not otherwise transfer your data outside the UK ourselves.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights:
- Right to access — you can request a copy of your data at any time
- Right to rectification — you can correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — you can request that we delete your account and your business plan content at any time; as explained above, financial/payment records and fraud-prevention records are kept for longer where we're legally required to
- Right to portability — you can request your data in a portable format
- Right to object — you can object to how we process your data
We extend these same rights to every user of this platform, wherever you're based — including founders in the United States — as a matter of our own policy, regardless of which country's law technically applies to you.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@focus15.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Complaints
We take any complaint about how we've collected or used your personal data seriously. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, contact us at contact@focus15.co.uk — we'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it, and let you know the outcome without unnecessary delay.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent update.
